Bayram KILIÇ was born in Tercan, Erzincan in 1978. He finished his undergraduate education at Atatürk University, the Faculty of Science, the Department of Physics. He completed his master's degree in 2006 and his doctorate in 2010 in the Department of Solid-State Physics at the Institute of Science at Atatürk University. He studied at the University of Queensland, AIBN (Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology) Research Center during the doctoral thesis. He was appointed as an assistant professor to Yalova University, the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Energy Systems Engineering in 2010. He conducted post-doctoral research in 2012 at the University of California, Davis, Advanced Photovoltaic Research Center in United States. He obtained the title of "associate professor" in 2015 and his title of “professor” in 2021. He was appointed as the director of National Defence University, Naval Petty Officer Vocational School with the approval of the Ministry of National Defence on April 22, 2021. Professor Doctor Kılıç's academic expertise is among the fields of Nano-semiconductor based new generation materials, photovoltaic cells, renewable energy sources and energy policies. There are 5 master theses completed under his supervision. Professor Doctor Kılıç has completed 8 projects, including one European Union Project, three TÜBİTAK projects and four BAP projects. Prof. Dr. Kılıç has published a book, 24 international (SCI) articles, and more than 50 papers presented in international congresses. Professor Doctor Kılıç is married with two.
